Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the website of the Model A Ford Club of Great Britain (MAFCGB).

The Club caters for owners, prospective owners, enthusiasts and devotees of the Ford Model A, AF, AA, B, BF and BB built from 1927 to 1934.

We provide help and information as well as being the British network for exchange of knowledge, assistance and spare parts for these vehicles.

Our award winning magazine "Quail", published every two months, has articles, letters, for sale/wants adverts and technical tips.

We organise events and tours which provide a sociable, friendly atmosphere focused around historic cars; all the family are welcome.

Moreover the Club is a member of the Inter-Register Club (IRC) so all our members can participate in the IRC events nationwide. The IRC events are for pre-war vehicles and form a framework of social driving days with a lighthearted, mildly competitive element.  See the events page for the list for this year.

The Club  is listed with the DVLA as an Authorised Club and offers a dating, authentication  and certification service which is recognised by the DVLA.

And we can help with details of cars and provide help for those researching the history of their vehicles.

We are affiliated to the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs .

Help needed to run the club!!!!

Wanted: Authenticating Officer.

Your club is looking for a member to assist our current authenticating officer by becoming a  MAFCGB Vehicle Authenticating Officer to be accredited with the DVLA. Can you help?

Owners of Model A and B vehicles which have lost their registration marks and vehicles recently imported request club support in obtaining registration marks from DVLA.

The person appointed will need to be familiar with the range of vehicles covered by the club, computer literate (emails in particular), efficient in general administration, and prepared to give some time to this important task.
The club has in place a detailed schedule to follow in carrying out this work. No travel is required since vehicle inspections are carried out by knowledgeable members in the locality of those requesting club support with an applicant.

If you would like to have more detail and or declare an interest please contact  Vice Chairman, Bob Wilkinson on 01832 734463 or by email:

Would you as a member like to help the club in any way? just involving a few hours a month? You don't have to sit on the committee, but we need help in any form...organising events, conatcting local members, making decisions on behalf of the club, looking after the web site... you don't have to join the committee- any help is appreciated!!

Also this year we are looking for people to come forwards to help in the following committee positions , Chairman, Editor,Membership Registrar, and General Committee member.
